M.S. in Computer Information Systems

Why did you decide to study at CSU?

I really like the curriculum of Computer Information Systems – it gave me in-depth knowledge about the real world. I really love the mountains and the nice weather, and hiking – I hiked three 14ers during first summer in Colorado. I also got admitted to other universities, but I really love all the activities and fun stuff happening at CSU. I watched some of the videos of CSU with my family, and they really love the surroundings of CSU.

How did applying through Disha (agent) help you in the process of coming to CSU?

Disha (Agent) made the application process really smooth and easy. I just appeared to Disha with my bio-data and job profile and told them about my life-goal and where I want to see myself 5 years down the line, and they showed me the path. During that time, I was working full time, so it was difficult to choose a university and time consuming to apply to the selected one. Disha streamlined the process for me, and that was really helpful.

What academic accomplishment are you most proud of?

I earned a GPA of more than 3.5 with a Business Intelligence certification. I also received a summer internship and the company offered me full time position.

What are your career goals?

I was selected as a consultant in Deloitte, so I want to see myself leading an energetic team a few years down the line. I want to have a good work-life balance when I get more responsibility.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

I would encourage other students to come and join CSU with passion and chose your career wisely. Use all the resources that CSU provides, the clubs are really helpful for self development and networking. The Career Management Center really helped me and got me ready to face a real world job. It is really good resource to help you figure out what you want to be. Go RAMS!

Random thought of the day – Decide what you wants to do in life and choose your career wisely and choose your college more wisely. Your present decisions will become your identity in future.
