“I hope to be able to use my knowledge and skill to develop programs for children with disabilities living in the developing regions of the world.”

Why did you decide to study at CSU?

My key motivation to study at CSU was due to a good mentor-mentee fit, in terms of common research interests, and that helped me gain mentored research training in the area I am most passionate about (i.e., young children’s participation). Moreover, CSU stands among the top ten Occupational Therapy programs in the nation.

What are your career goals?

I hope to be able to use my knowledge and skill to develop programs for children with disabilities living in the developing regions of the world, and also be a researcher in the same field helping advance the knowledge that presently exists.

Could you tell us about your experience as a CSU employee?

I received the International Merit Work Study Award that helped me work as a graduate research assistant in my own research lab. Apart from working a few hours/week in the lab, I worked a couple of hours in the dining halls and at the bookstore during Rush. Working on campus helped me schedule work based on my school schedule, and I was able to meet other students from all over the world.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?:

CSU has a great and well-knit community of internationals, so international students need to make the most by being actively involved at events hosted by the international student center.

What do you want people to know about your home country?:

People from every state speak a different language, and present unique cultural diversities.
