Why did you decide to study at CSU?

CSU’s veterinary college is very well ranked in the US and all over the world, I decided to come here.

What academic accomplishment are you most proud of?

I earned the Fulbright Scholarship to pursue my Ph.D. in the U.S. funded by the U.S. Department of State.

What was your biggest surprise about the U.S?

The people are very welcoming and accommodating

What are your favorite activities/clubs in Fort Collins?

Bicycling, hiking, bowling, and going to Washington’s Sports Bar.

What are your career goals?

I want to be in academics and research when I go back to Pakistan. I would like to translate the knowledge that I am acquiring here for the betterment of humans, animals and the universe, through improved human health, and ensuring safe food for humans.

What do you want people to know about your home country?

Pakistan is a very good country which experiences all four seasons. We do have scenic mountains, like K-2, which is the world’s second highest mountain after Mount Everest. Pakistan also enjoys the Arabian Sea to the south.

What has been your favorite memory at CSU so far?

When I got my research proposal funded by the College Research Council on May 8, 2015.

What advice would you give to other students who are considering CSU?

CSU has a great campus and it is located in almost the center of the U.S. From here, you can go anywhere in U.S. and enjoy the road trip.

I am quite inquisitive about learning new things.
