- If your financial documentation is by a sponsor or family member, an Affidavit of Support on the Immigration Document Request Form must be signed by this individual.
- If you are using a financial guarantee from sponsoring government or organization, the letter must match the student’s intended major and term of admission.
Immigration Document Request Form
The Immigration Document Request Form is intended to show you have the financial resources to complete your program at CSU. It must be completed before we can issue your I-20 or DS-2019 document.
Copy of Passport
A copy of your passport will be needed before the Office of International Programs can issue your immigration documents.
If you are bringing dependents (a spouse or children), copies of their passports will also be needed.
Submission and Timing
Please email a copy of all of the above documents to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please allow 7-10 business days for processing.
All communication from CSU will be via the email address used when your application to CSU was submitted. You will receive regular email communication from our office. If you are not receiving emails from our office, please check the email address you have listed on your RAMweb account.
CSU uses an express mailing service called EShip Global to send your immigration documents. When your documents (I-20 or DS-2019) are ready, you will receive an email from our office, with directions on how to register and pay for your mailing with EShip Global.
If you do not want to pay for your mailing, OIP can mail your document by regular First Class mail. Documents sent by regular First Class mail cannot be tracked, do not have a guaranteed delivery date, and can be fairly slow. Please email the Office of International Programs at email@example.com if you prefer to have your document mailed this way.
If it has been more than 3 weeks from the date of your admission and you have not received any communication from the Office of International Programs, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and CSU Admission Number.
